Vampire Hunter D
Vampire Hunter D, and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust are two anime movies about a half-vampire named D, who is out on a mission to destroy all vampires. He does not have any spells (no, he's not Alucard from Castlevania, although Alucard is a copy), but does have a weird pair of eyes and a talking mouth on his left hand. The mouth doesn't like D, but saves his life in the first movie. D has so far resisted the urge to drink human blood, thanks to the mouth on his hand, which sucks up the souls of vampires after they have been vanquished. Vampire Hunter D, the original movie, was created in the mid 1980's and was about D, who has to save a girl that has been bitten by a vampire. Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust, is a movie that was released in 2000. It is about D, who is paid $20,000,000 to save a girl who was willingly kidnapped by the vampire Meyer. The girl is very much in love with the vampire, and the vampire himself resists the urge to drink her blood numerous times. The story has a very unexpected ending (at least for me), and leaves the watcher wondering as to D's nature. I definatly recommend watching this anime for all anime fans, for it is created by my favorite artist of all time, Amano. Not only that, but it also has a great story and plenty of really neat fight scenes. Click here for Vampire Hunter D pictures My rating of this anime: A+ |
