Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo: 2040

Bubblegum Crisis Tokyo: 2040 is a remake of the original Bubblegum crisis series.  It takes place in 2040, years after the first series.   The story is mainly about the four girls, who create/join the team, The Knight Sabers, in an effort to combat against robots that are getting out of hand (now known as boomers).  

The story receives an unexpected twist when Galletea shows up, and leads the girls in an all out battle to save the city of Tokyo once again.

Personally, I thought that the anime was a little repetitive for my tastes (the first four DVDs are exactly the same), but I also happened to like the last two episodes, so I decided to give BGCT2040 it's own section.   I recommend watching this over the original, but it's not exactly the highest ranked anime on my list =).
